Reports by the mainstream media shows that Zinedine Zidane is keen to sign a deal that will land Haaland at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. However, the deal is married with a lot of uncertainties.
The news about the Real Madrid bid for the star comes few months after the Norwegian footballer signed a four and a half year contract deal with Dortmund. This came moments after he left his former team Red Bull Salzburg in January.
Erling Haaland time has been very impressive at Signal Iduna Park, having scored twelve goals in his first eleven home matches. His worth has just gone up from £20million to £50million that the Spanish giants Real Madrid are willing to give for his services (possibly much more, if Dortmund plays hardball).
Never the less, Dortmund will have to consider offering Lucien Favre a new deal if they wish to keep Haaland at the club, considering the relationship between the two.
In a statement talking about Manchester United shortly before he moved to Bundesliga, the 19-year-old admitted to having a mutual relationship with the coaches. In his opinion, he thought he would improve and efficiently develop on his career under guidance of Favre other than the Old Trafford’s manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
His decision to work under Favre was argumentatively influenced by his father (Alf-Inge Haaland, former Manchester City ace). With all these in consideration, a move made by Favre out of the club would cause an itch to Haaland as a Dortmund player.
Knowing his current worth, undeniably Haaland may still decide to stay under whoever coach that will be, as he is still going to make good money deal with any of the big clubs in Europe.
