Jadon Sancho has been hailed as a ‘special player’ by Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson who also believes the player is destined for the top in his career.

The 20-year-old has been an active member of the England national team since making his debut together with Henderson, who is impressed with the youngster’s qualities.

As if that is not enough, Sancho has attracted interest from top clubs from the Premier League and the Spanish La Liga with his stunning form for Borussia Dortmund, and could be in the move in the summer.

His recent activities has seen him carry much pressure around him with club mate Emre Can warning him to check his behaviour.

However, the Reds captain has also given the hot prospect a few tips to guide him in taking advantage of his immense potential.

Discussing Sancho with Rio Ferdinand on The Locker Room, Henderson said: “A lot of people are speaking about him. He is a top player, a special player, that in training he has got something different and he’s sharp and able to get past players with ease.

“Also he’s got a good head on his shoulders, he loves football, wants to improve, listen and learn so if he just continues on that path the sky’s the limit for him really.”

Sancho also came into the news recently after branding the DFL is an absolute joke, having been slapped with a fine but Henderson has no doubts about the BVB forward.

“He just needs to keep working hard and listening to the people around him and keep doing what he’s doing.

“He’s been brilliant for Dortmund and England, so he just needs to carry on.”

Sancho was part of young English talents that the Liverpool captain took time to talk about in his interview.

“There’s not only him, you look at Marcus [Rashford] whose been out with injury, but such a talented player. He does stuff in training where I just think ‘wow’,” Henderson added.

“Look at Raheem [Sterling] now. How he’s blossomed. Obviously I was playing with him at the very start, he’s gone from strength to strength. He’s turned into such a good player.

“And you forget Trent [Alexander-Arnold]’s so young. He’s achieved so much at a young age but he’s mature and has got great people around him to keep his feet on the ground. Works hard, wants to improve and the sky’s the limit for him as well.”
