Achraf Hakimi close to a move to Inter Milan

Achraf-Hakimi

One of Borussia Dortmund’s stars this season has been right wingback Achraf Hakimi. The Moroccan is on loan from Real Madrid and has attracted viewers from all around the world because of his incredible pace, attacking prowess, and ability to defend.

Hakimi is only 21 years old and has already secured 5 goals and 10 assists in this season’s Bundesliga. Unfortunately for Dortmund though, he will play his last game for the club against Hoffenheim on Saturday. He was touted for a return to Real Madrid, however, a surprise swoop from Inter Milan is on the cards.

The Italian giants are interested in Hakimi and are close to finalising a deal with Real Madrid for around 40 million Euros. This means that the hopes of Hakimi extending his stay at Dortmund or even finalising a permanent deal with the club have shattered.

Reliable transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has tweeted twice in the past couple of hours about Hakimi’s prospective move to Inter Milan.

His first tweet was, “Inter are in advanced talks to sign Achraf Hakimi. He wants to leave Real Madrid to be a starter – Inter have contacted Real and the player has accepted to listen their bid. He’s the first target as right back for Antonio Conte.

His second tweet pretty much confirms the Moroccan’s move to Inter Milan. It reads, “Achraf Hakimi is really, really close to Inter. The agreement is going to be finalized soon between Inter and Real Madrid for €40M + add ons. Hakimi has already accepted to sign a five year contract with Inter.”

Dortmund fans should be grateful for the time Hakimi spent at the club, and will now look forward to how the new signing Thomas Meunier will fare in his position.
