The much-awaited FIFA 21 ratings are out! Just like every other year, there has been plenty of controversy over whether players have been given the right ratings.
Here are BVB’s ratings:
Goalkeepers: Roman Burki: 84, Marwin Hitz: 78
Defenders: Thomas Meunier (RB): 81, Lukasz Piszczek (CB): 80, Nico Schulz (LB): 80, Dan-Axel Zagadou (CB): 79, Manuel Akanji (CB): 78, Mats Hummels (CB): 86, Marcel Schmelzer (LB): 74.
Midfielders and wingers: Jadon Sancho (RM): 87, Julian Brandt (CAM): 84, Axel Witsel (CDM): 84, Marco Reus (CAM): 85, Raphael Guerreiro (LM): 84, Thorgan Hazard (LM): 83, Emre Can (CM): 82, Thomas Delaney (CDM): 81, Mahmoud Dahoud (CM): 76, Jude Bellingham (CM): 69.
Forwards: Erling Haaland (ST): 84, Marius Wolf: 76, Giovanni Reyna: 68.
It’s tough to understand the rationale that goes into deciding how high players are rated. Players like Erling Haaland and Thorgan Hazard who had sublime seasons surely had to have been higher than 84, and 83 respectively.
