Sky Sports have reported that Manchester United are confident to seal Jadon Sancho’s signature in this summer transfer window. The English youngster has been linked to the club for a while now, but Sky Sports have confirmed that no bid has been placed yet.
The English media outlet has reported that the agreement of personal terms with Sancho should not be an issue for Manchester United. Rather, the only thing left is for an agreement to be sealed is consensus between Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United over the transfer fee and structure of payment.
Dortmund’s CEO, Hans Joachim-Watzke, earlier said that the COVID-19 pandemic will have no impact on the transfer fee for Jadon Sancho. The German said, “Here will not be a cent corona discount, we have clear ideas. If he wants to leave and a club meets the conditions? We will discuss this.”
Dortmund have reportedly set a price-tag of around 120 Million Euros and are not willing to budge at all. United, on the other hand, wish to pay 20 million lesser than the German club’s asking price. Whether this 20 million can be negotiated for is still unknown, but it appears that Dortmund would rather keep Sancho for another year.
According to Kicker, Dortmund expects to receive 100 million Euros as an immediate payment in the next 10-15 days so that they can find the appropriate replacement for Sancho.
