The Jadon Sancho transfer saga continues. Manchester United are now closer than ever to seal his signature. Fabrizio Romano, the world’s most reputed transfer journalist, has offered some recent updates on the possible deal.

In a rather detailed tweet, the transfer guru said, “Manchester United negotiations with BVB for #Sancho are now in ‘advanced stage’. Man Utd always wanted to pay him using ‘add ons’ and ‘instalments’ after virus. Still no agreement but talks on. Personal terms are not a problem - his contract would be until June 2025.

He followed up with, “Sancho is now ‘waiting’ to understand if the two clubs will find an agreement or not. He’d like to join Man Utd. But it’s up to the clubs and BVB are pushing to decide soon because they’d need a replacement if Sancho will leave.

Dortmund ideally wish to seal the deal before the 10th of August, giving them ample to find a replacement for him. Now that talks have progressed, Sancho’s and Solskjaer’s hopes must have shot through the roof.

Dortmund’s Managing Director, Michael Zorc, had recently said that there would be no “discount” for Sancho even if the coronavirus hampered finances of clubs across the world. It will be interesting to see if the club doesn’t budge on that stance now that talks have advanced.
