Mario Gotze to consider joining AC Milan


Mario Götze, the German international who plays for his home club Borussia Dortmund as an attacking midfielder is expected to say good bye to Signal Iduna Park commeth the summer.

This comes three years after rejoining the club in 2016 from the rivals Bayern Munich. The 2014 world cup winner will now be free to join any club come next season. A move to Serie A is likely with AC Milan are among his admirers.

Borussia Dortmund head coach Lucien Favre’s hopes of Gotze staying at the club have slightly faded away. This is as a result of the German star failing to extend his stay at the club.


Stefano Pioli, AC Milan boss however, has expressed his interest in bringing the attacking midfielder home. The Serie A side have since shown deep interest in his services.

Mario Götze left the club in 2013 to join Bayern Munich before making a move back to Borussia Dortmund in 2016. The Borussia Dortmund playmaker is now open to speak with AC Milan and representatives in his bid to experience a new challenge in Italy.

Gotze’s has failed to earn his position in the first team. He has made a total of only 19 appearances in all competitions this season. Players like Julian Brandt, Jadon Sancho and Thorgan Hazard are fighting for his position at the club.
