Marius Wolf has completed a season-long loan to FC Cologne. After much speculation over his future, the club decided to loan him to Cologne rather than a permanent move elsewhere. The German attacker spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Hertha Berlin.

At Hertha, Wolf secured 5 assists and 1 goal in his 23 appearances. Upon securing his move to FC Cologne, Wolf tweeted, “It’s not always easy, especially leaving this club again. This team, this club, these fans deserve nothing but success. I’ll see you all soon! Marius.

In his first official interview with FC Cologne he said, “I had really good discussions with FC. Horst Heldt and Markus Gisdol gave me a very good feeling and shown me the perspective of first-team football. This is the exact reason why I decided on a loan again. I want to use this chance and help FC to stay in the Bundesliga.

Let’s hope he can come good for Cologne and carry his pre-season form with him into the 2020/21 Bundesliga season.
