Owing to the coronavirus pandemic spectators have not been allowed to enter stadiums yet. Borussia Dortmund have recently said that they do not have any finalised plans for launching season tickets for the next season.
The city of Dortmund is located in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, where it has been confirmed that there will be a ban on large events with spectators until the 31st of August 2020. Hence, it would not be intelligent to list out season tickets as of yet.
In their official statement, Borussia Dortmund said: “At the present time, we cannot yet make a reliable statement as to whether games without spectators, games in special game mode with reduced spectator capacity or games in normal mode can or should take place in the Signal Iduna Park at the beginning of the coming season.”
Bundesliga season of 2020/21 is set to start in the middle of September. The German Football Association has not yet made a decision on whether to bring in fans for the next season or not, so the decision by Dortmund to not announce anything yet is smart.
